Terms and conditions apply to our Guests and all members of their party (including any day visitors, who must be pre-approved with ourselves, the Owners).  It is our Guests responsibility to make sure that each member of their party is aware and accepts the Terms and Conditions and the obligations herein.

The Owners reserve the right to cancel or end a booking without compensation or refund should Guests not comply with any of the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

​

Arrival and Departure

Arrival time is from 3pm unless we can accommodate an earlier arrival by prior agreement and departure is no later than 10am on the morning of your departure day in order for us to have sufficient time to prepare the cottages between guests.

​

If you are bringing horses please contact us if you wish to arrive earlier to settle them as the stables/grazing may be available sooner but we cannot guarantee that you cottage will be ready before 3pm.

​

You must have only the stated number of guests in your cottage and day guests are not permitted to use the swimming pool and must not stay overnight.

​

Bookings and Payments 

Provisional bookings can be made online, by email or telephone but a booking is not secured or confirmed until a 25% deposit has been received and we will then contact you via email to confirm the booking and at this point a contract is in place.

​

The remaining balance payment is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival.  We will send out a reminder about 1 week prior to this.  Please note that you may lose your booking and deposit if the full balance is not received as stated.

​

For Late Bookings within 6 weeks of the arrival date the full balance is due at the time of booking

​

Cancellations 

Please advise us of any cancellation in writing.  Deposit payments are not refundable. 

​

We would do our very best to re-let a cancelled date but if this is not possible you may be liable for the balance of the payment for your holiday so please take out holiday cancellation insurance.

​

If the final payment is not recieved by the due date the owners reserve the right to give notice of cancellation of the booking.  We also recommend that you take out cancellation protection insurance.  We will not provide a refund if for any reason you do not complete the duration of your stay.

​

You May not under any circumstances transfer your booking to anyone else without prior consent from the Owners.

​

Non Availability of Accommodation 

In the very unlikely event that for reasons out of our control your accommodation becomes unavailable we would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation or if this is not possible an alternative date for your stay up to the same value.  Our liability would not exceed beyond this.

​

The Owners do not accept responsibility for breakdown of public or local supplies, including water or electricity nor any claims against inconvenience caused by such incidences.  In the case of any breakdown Guests are asked to notify the Owners immediately and we will try our best, in conjunction with the service company concerned to correct the fault as soon as possible.

​

In the event of a national or local disease epidemic, human or animal, the Owners reserve the right to cancel any booking at any time.

​

Safety and General Rules

All our cottages, the swimming pool and the stables are strictly No Smoking.  Also please do not use candles in the cottages.

Guests are not allowed in the stables unsupervised unless they are attending to their own horses.  Horses are unpredictable and can be dangerous and we can have farm machinery in the yard.

​

Please look after and respect our cottages and please let us know if there are any damages.  We do not normally charge for minor breakages however the owners reserve the right to charge for any non trivial damage howsoever caused.  Please leave your cottage clean and tidy although a full clean is included in the cost of your cottage stay.  We will inspect the cottage prior to your departure on the final day of your stay.

If you have any problems, special requirements or needs please let us know and we will do all we can to accomodate you.

In the very unlikely event that we were concerned as to how you are mistreating our cottages or if your conduct is considered to infringe the Owners Terms and Conditions, or Guests are likely to impair the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other guests or staff, we reserve the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave immediately without refund.

Your Animals

We accept up to 2 dogs in Winn, Haven and Dumble Cottages so long as they are well behaved.  Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms.  Dogs must not be left in the cottages unattended whilst guests are offsite.  Any additional cleaning or damage caused by your pets will be chargeable.

Dogs must be kept on a lead in all shared areas and dogs are not allowed onto the stable yard. It is the pet owner’s responsibility to clear up all fouling before departure.

​

Horses must be fully insured including public liability insurance for any damage they may cause, they must have a passport and have annual Flu and Tetanus vaccinations in date.  Horses must be in good health and any not considered to be in good health may be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given.

​

You may choose to ride on local country roads, the off-road trails or on the farm fields. All routes are ridden entirely at your own risk.  Netherton Hall does not accept any responsibility for any incident, accident or injury occurring in such places. In the event of any accident or injury the Owners should be notified immediately.

​

Stables should be mucked out prior to departure unless on a full livery basis.

​

Stabling and storage of your animals, tack, equipment and vehicles is entirely at your own risk and they remain your responsibility at all times.  Any damages to our premises or property will be chargeable.  Netherton Hall and its owners accept no responsibility for any damage caused to or by your animals to anyone or anything either on or off Netherton Hall and its owners’ property.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is for the use of residents only and unfortunately any day guests are not allowed to use it.

Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

​

The swimming pool is open between 7.30am and 7.30pm daily, however occasionally has to be closed for maintenance or cleaning, we do try to do this at times to cause the least disruption to guests but cannot guarantee that this will not happen during your stay.

​

No food or drink is allowed in the swimming pool hall at any time.

​

Please be respectful of other guests whilst using the swimming pool and if you are considered to be behaving dangerously or inappropriately you may be asked to leave the swimming pool.

​

Please inform us or any accidents, injuries, breakages or failure of equipment immediately so we can rectify any issues.

​

Liability

The owners shall not accept liability or responsibility for loss, injury or damage to Guests property, or for personal injury or horse injury or damage to cars, bicycles, horse boxes, trailers parked or kept at the Guests risk. The Owners will not be liable for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles, possessions or animals and vehicles shall be parked at your own risk.  The owners shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury that is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war or other matters beyond the owners’ control.

The owners reserve the right to have access to the accommodation at all reasonable times without permission.
