Dumble Cottage has been carefully restored and converted from one of the original 17th Century buildings in the curtilage of Netherton Hall. We have taken great care to preserve the original character of the building but also to give you a very high quality cottage.
Dumble is entirely on ground floor level (although there are a couple of steps down to the dining and sitting rooms). It sleeps two people with one double bedroom which has a stunning metal four poster bed.
The dining room has seating for four in case you have friends around and sitting room has a comfey chair and sofa with views across the fields towards Brassington where you can relax in front of the log burning stove.
Dumble has a traditional shaker style solid oak kitchen with top quality appliance and a full range of equipment for the keen cook. The bathroom is fitted withVilleroy & Bosch sanitary ware with a bath and shower combined.
Each of the cottages has been lavishly furnished and decorated, they are all very individual and very beautiful in their own right: there is a flat screen television in the sitting room, DVDs, books, games.

Dumble has a wealth of wooden beams and mullioned windows to look at too. The four poster bedroom has has egyptian cotton sheets and the bathroom has egyptian cotton towels for that extra level of comfort! On your arrival you will have a welcome basket with bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and a bottle of wine to get you settled in.

Outside there is a private patio area with fantastic views over the countryside. You have your own table and chairs, barbeque and chimnea in a secure enclosed area, perfect for eating out. As well as this there is a paddock behind the cottages going down to the brook .

We were the first guests to stay in Dumble Cottage. Many thanks to Tim and Vikki for a wonderful and comfortable stay. The cottage and location was perfect. Look forward to our next visit and a swim in the new pool!
Just returned home from a wonderful stay in Dumble Cottage. The cottage was beautiful and the welcome basket an unexpected and very welcome surprise. looking forward to returning and making good use of the swimming pool when it is finished. Bonnie, our dog, just loved the meadow with brook at the bottom to run and paddle in.

We stayed in Dumble October 2010. As a regular user of self catering cottages, this cottage was one of the best we have stayed in, add in the location, friendly welcome, with just about the best welcome pack ever. Its doubtful we will find a late booking availability next year.
